Tony has been shaping the future of 3D and virtual worlds since the earliest days of the web, and is best known as a co-creator of VRML, one of the first standards for bringing 3D experiences to the browser. I talk with Tony about the evolution of XR, the long road from early web 3D to today’s immersive platforms, and what decades of building virtual worlds have taught him about the future of spatial computing and the metaverse.
